One of our core values as a business is to do the right thing, even if it's hard. This is why we want to make sure you're well-informed about California's Proposition 65, or"Prop 65,". Prop 65 mandates that businesses provide warnings about potential exposure to specific chemicals commonly present in various products and they have particularly strict limits for trace heavy metals like lead, cadmium, arsenic and mercury.
While our crackers are thoughtfully crafted with the best ingredients, we want to acknowledge that they might contain trace amounts of substances falling under Prop 65. Most plants absorb naturally occurring minerals from the soil which can be reflected in the final product. For example, cassava roots draw minerals and nutrients from the soil, contributing to their natural growth. As a result, the presence of minimal levels of lead is a natural occurrence in cassava and many other crops, even when they're grown in organic soils. These levels are often beyond our control due to the plant's interaction with its environment.
We test our crackers for compliance and safety against FDA food industry standards. The Prop 65 warnings on our packaging reflects our dedication to full transparency rather than indicating any compromise in quality or safety.
